Professor Helmut Bölcskei (ETH Zurich) will explore the mathematics behind deep neural networks, covering topics in functional and harmonic analysis, dynamical systems, optimal transport, and more.

Helmut Bölcskei is a Professor of Mathematical Information Science at ETH Zurich and has been a Principal Investigator at the Lagrange Mathematics and Computing Research Center in Paris since 2021. In addition to his academic achievements, he is also a successful entrepreneur.
